Aeroflot may temporarily cut flights to Italy over coronavirus

MOSCOW, Mar 3 (PRIME) -- Russian national flagship carrier Aeroflot is very likely to reduce the number of flights to Italy temporarily because of the coronavirus outbreak in the country, Ivan Batanov, director of the carrier’s department for management of network and incomes, said in a conference call on Tuesday.

“Unfortunately, there are some measures for other directions in Asia and Europe, and we are yet to decide on the reduction of flights to other places in Asia and Europe. But we are keeping a close eye on the situation in Italy, and we will most likely suggest some contractions of carrying capacities in the directions to Italy for some time,” he said.
